The Circle of Life, a living celestial calendar, is the largest such functional instrument in the world. Conceived by Dr. Jonathan Rothberg, the owner of the property and a founder of Curagen Corporation, 454 Life Sciences, Clarifi, Raindance Technologies and The Rothberg Institute for Childhood diseases, the work was created in collaboration with renowned sculptor Darrell Petit and Dr. Anthony Aveni.
